Team Building on a Swiss Farm

You could take your employees for a week in Vegas. Sure, they’ll bond. But some might end up in prison. You could take them on a trip to Cancun. They’d bond all right. Possibly with each other. Then, for some of them, it’s a straight shot to divorce city.

No, what you want to do is take them off the grid. Welcome to the Swiss Team Building Farm Stay!

I know, you’re thinking it will be boring and probably expensive. Well, my friend, you would be wrong. Is flinging a battle-axe boring? Heck no! Is learning to hammer a nail into a board more efficiently boring? Well, yeah. But this is about bonding, and working together, and competing against each other, removed from the real world, with all its addictions and distractions.

Like most actors, I look good; but I missed everything I aimed at – and repeatedly.                     (Photo courtesy of Tiger.)

During the day you’ll drive a tractor, fling a battle ax, play horseshoes, shoot an air gun, and toss a ball into a clowns mouth, who then spits a piece of chocolate at you.

Hay loft. Sleeps sixteen.

But the real fun starts at night, when you tuck yourselves into your very own bale of hay! Tell ghost stories, fend off spiders, listen to cows-those tireless bovines!-chewing grass all around you.

“Could you ask the cow to cut it out with all the grass chewing. Seriously, shut that cow up!”
